Marco Pierobon to Escuela Superior de Música Forum Musikae

Marco Pierobon has been appointed Professor of Trumpet at the Escuela Superior de Música Forum Musikae in Madrid, Spain.

Pierobon has performed as a soloist with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Vienna Kammerkonzert, I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, I Solisti Veneti, the Junge Philharmonie Salzburg, the Marchigiana Philharmonic, and the Symphony Orchestras of Mantua, Bolzano, Vicenza, and Sanremo. He won first prize in the international competitions of Passau, Germany, and Imperia and Acqui Terme, Italy. From 1999 to 2002, he was principal trumpet of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, and from 2003 to 2008, he served as principal trumpet of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia Orchestra. He has also collaborated as principal trumpet with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Filarmonica della Scala Orchestra. Pierobon has worked with conductors Zubin Mehta, Isaac Karabtchevsky, Etienne Siebens, Friedrich Heider, Guenther Neuhold, and Ralph Gothoni and has premiered works dedicated to him by Giancarlo Aquilanti, Angelo Sormani, Giuseppe Bonafine, and Michele Mangani. In 2014, he premiered Aquilanti's Trumpet Concerto on tour with the Stanford Wind Symphony. Since 2014, he has conducted the Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, the Haydn Symphony Orchestra of Bolzano, the Croatian National Theatre Orchestra Zagreb, the Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Opera Carlo Felice Orchestra Genova, and the Orchestra da Camera di Perugia.

In 2017, he was featured at the Astana Expo (Kazakhstan) and performed at the International Trumpet Guild Conference in 2017, 2021, and 2024. In 2018, he premiered Aquilanti's Double Concerto with the Stanford Wind Symphony and appeared with the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra and in a worldwide livestream with the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala. In 2025, he made his conducting debut with the Orchestra della Toscana in Florence.

Pierobon has released several instructional DVDs and solo recordings, including Solo (2011), Nano Nano (2013), The Golden Trumpet (2015), Made in Italy (2015), and The Maestro (2017).

He has presented master classes throughout the United States, Argentina, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, England, Greece, Germany, Austria, and Italy. He has been professor of trumpet at the Bolzano Conservatory since 2007 and has recorded for Sony and EMI with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia under Antonio Pappano. As a member of the Gomalan Brass Quintet, he has performed internationally and recorded four CDs and two DVDs for Summit Records and Naxos.
