Graduate Assistant in Trumpet Performance open at the University of Kansas beginning Fall 2023

 

Candidates interested in MM or DMA in Trumpet Performance encouraged to apply. Salary: approx $15,000 for 9 months (renewable) Full Tuition waiver, both in-state and out-of-state. 

 

Duties include weekly applied teaching (approx 8 hours per week) and studio support (up to 8 hours per week) additional opportunities coaching chamber groups, sectionals etc. 

 

Large Ensemble participation expected. Opportunities include leadership in award winning Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. Classical and Jazz specialists (inc Lead Trumpet)  all considered. 

 

 

KU has a full studio of 30 players with players from multiple states. It is a positive, inclusive environment.
