July 6 -12, 2025 - The Rafael Méndez Brass Institute, hosted by the Summit Brass and the Denver Brass at the Lamont School of Music, Newman Center for the Performing Arts, University of Denver, Denver, CO (USA). Summit Brass and The Denver Brass will host the annual Rafael Mendez Brass Institute at the University of Denver from July 6-12, 2025. Trumpet faculty will include Chris Coletti, David Hickman, John Marchiando, Amy McCabe, Aaron Romm and Ronald Romm. Other brass faculty include David Byrd-Marrow, Wei-ping Chou, Susan McCullough, Allene Hackleman, Kristina Mascher-Turner, Brad Edwards, Richard Harris, Scott Hartman, Megumi Kanda, John Lofton, Brian Bowman, Gail Robertson, Kathleen Brantigan, Warren Deck, David Kirk, Timothy Northcut and Joseph Parisi.

The institute is open to all brass players, but is limited to an enrollment of 120. Daily master classes, career seminars, ensemble coaching, mock auditions, faculty concerts, student concerts, and private lessons are available. Deadline for registering is June 15. A full week of events including master classes, career seminars, private lessons, faculty recitals, chamber ensemble coachings and concerts, and mock audition competitions are planned.
